A Field Visit to New Alamein City

As part of the EA511-Architectural Design 7 course, PUA’s Architectural Department organized a field visit to New Alamein City, one of Egypt’s most promising development projects. The visit aimed to integrate the theoretical aspects of the course with practical application, offering students an opportunity to connect academic knowledge with real-world practices.

The students were welcomed by Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim, Chairman of the New Alamein City Authority, and Eng. Mohamed Samir, Head of Public Relations at the Authority. During the visit, the students toured various areas within the city and gained insights into the planning and implementation stages of infrastructure projects and modern buildings. They also explored the applications of sustainability and renewable energy in architectural designs. This hands-on experience allowed students to understand how to utilize academic knowledge to address challenges and develop innovative solutions that benefit the community.

The visit was supervised by course lecturers Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mounir Soliman, Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Alfy, and Dr. Khaled Salah, along with teaching assistants Eng. Mai Naglaa Youssef and Eng. Medhat Ayad.
