Pharos University in Alexandria is proud to announce its 1st appearance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023. Out of 40 Egyptian Universities, Pharos University was ranked (37). In the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings, out of 40 Egyptian Universities, Pharos University was ranked (31).
Pharos University is internationally recognized in the THE-Impact Ranking, which is based on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in research and education.
This ranking is based on the university’s performance and contributions to the implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and national and international partnerships to achieve them.
In 2019, Pharos University contributed to SDG 17 – Partnership for the Goals, and three of the most important sustainable development goals: SDG 3 of good health and well-being, SDG 5 of gender equality and SDG 8 of decent work and economic growth and the overall rank of the University was 201 – 300.
In 2020, Pharos University contributed to the same goals as in 2019 (SDG 3, SDG 5, SDG 8) and overall ranked 301-400.
In 2021 Pharos University contributed to the same goals as in 2020 in addition to SDG 10 – Reduced inequalities (SDG 3 – SDG 5 – SDG 8 and SDG 10) and the overall rank was 401-600.
In 2022 Pharos University contributed to the same goals as in 2019 (SDG 3 – SDG 5 – SDG 8) and the overall rank was 601-800.
