Within the campaigns of Recycle It and Green Pharos: an environmentally friendly university, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management organized a trivia quiz for its students. This competition aimed to measure the extent of students’ awareness and understanding of methods to preserve the environment and the importance of sustainability in the tourism sector. The competition included a set of questions and activities designed to encourage students to think critically and learn about these vital issues.

The event demonstrated that education and awareness are foundational for promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability. Universities and faculties are encouraged to integrate sustainability-focused courses into their curricula and provide hands-on learning and outreach opportunities. The competition also urged students to think creatively and develop innovative solutions for achieving sustainability in tourism, thereby fostering an environment that nurtures innovative thinking and practical application in the tourism industry.
