In the context of maintaining communication between the Embassy of Egypt in Dublin and the Egyptian students in Ireland, Mr. Khaled Tharwat, the Egyptian Ambassador to Dublin welcomed a delegation of top students from Pharos University. That was on Wednesday, 29 January 2020 at the Embassy of Egypt. The ambassador met the students during their stay in Dublin to study for a semester due to the student exchange program included in the agreement signed between TU Dublin and PUA in the financial and administrative sciences field. The delegation was comprised of some students of the faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences:
- Ahmed Magdy.
- Fatma Salah.
- Abd El Rahman Ibrahim.
- Ahmed Tamer.
The Egyptian ambassador was keen to check on the students and listen to any obstacles they faced during their stay and he stressed the fact that the embassy of Egypt is always there to help them. Moreover, the finance and marketing students have praised the richness of the experience of studying in Ireland on the scientific and personal levels, the distinguished education system in Ireland and the simplicity and hospitality of the Irish.
In addition to that, the Ambassador Khaled Tharwat was proud of the students’ culture, science and ambition which make them acting as honorable role models of their country. He also wished them success in their academic and practical lives.
It is worth mentioning that the agreement signed between Pharos University and TU Dublin in 2010 gives the students of the faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences the opportunity to have dual certificates one from each university. It also gives chance for PUA graduates to join postgraduate programs in Ireland without having an equivalent certificate.
