PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted a seminar titled “Green Pharos: Sustainability in Education,” with participation from students, faculty members, and teaching assistants. The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in education and its role in building a sustainable future. It covered several key topics, including the United Nations’ sustainable development goals (SDGs) related to education, the integration of sustainability concepts into curricula and educational activities to raise student awareness, and the promotion of critical thinking to encourage innovative solutions to global challenges.

Additionally, the seminar focused on developing sustainable action plans to incorporate sustainability into the faculty’s curriculum and environment, highlighting the significance of critical thinking in empowering students to make a positive societal impact. The event was marked by enthusiastic interaction, with participants offering constructive ideas to further embed sustainability in the educational process.
