The Architectural Engineering Department prioritizes recycling activities and the use of waste materials to educate students on sustainability. In this context, the Department gathered all the used CDs stored in the archive and held a lecture to present innovative ideas for reusing these CDs, discussing methods for collecting them and distributing them to needy participants.

Following the lecture, a group of teaching assistants conducted a scientific and entertaining activity titled “Recycling CDs to Create Lighting Units or Artistic and Decorative Paintings.” This activity saw large student participation, with groups of 5 to 10 students working together under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ramadan Abdel Maqsoud, the Department’s Academic Supervisor, and Dr. Pakinam Nabil, the student activities coordinator.
