PUA’s Gears Up for Annual Media Work Competition

Pharos University in Alexandria convened a preparatory coordination meeting for its upcoming Media Work Competition, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The meeting brought together faculty members and student representatives to discuss key organizational and technical aspects of the competition.
Central to the discussion was the importance of collaboration between student teams across various faculties, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary integration. Participants underscored the need to protect intellectual property rights and implement transparent mechanisms for the fair distribution of roles and rewards among students, ensuring both equity and accountability.
Dr. Etman also highlighted the significance of combining media, design, and modern technologies to enrich student experiences and elevate the quality of the participating projects. He stressed that this competition is not only a platform for showcasing student creativity but also an opportunity for hands-on experience in both production and teamwork.
The meeting also emphasized the competition’s role in discovering student talents and fostering essential skills such as collaboration, innovation, and project management. Students are encouraged to take part in both the creative and organizational aspects of the event.
This coordination session is part of a broader series of preparatory activities leading up to the final evaluation phase, during which projects will be reviewed and the most outstanding entries selected for the final round. The Media Work Competition stands out as one of PUA’s most anticipated student events of the year, reflecting its commitment to nurturing emerging talent and enhancing practical learning.
