PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design participated in the “Identity” exhibition at the Italian Consulate in Alexandria, under the patronage of Mr. Mario De Pesquale, the Italian Consul to Alexandria. The Faculty showcased furniture pieces designed to revive and celebrate the Egyptian identity, created by junior students in the Furniture Design course within the Décor Department’s Interior Design Program.

The first piece was inspired by Pharaonic heritage, featuring a blend of white and gold colors adorned with hieroglyphic inscriptions. The second piece drew from Nubian heritage, consisting of a partition unit and chair, decorated with vibrant inscriptions, motifs, and design lines reflective of ancient Nubian culture.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Italian Consul, along with former Minister Yousry El Gamal, Eng. Hassan Wasfi, Head of the Fine Artists Syndicate in Alexandria, and several prominent artists and creatives. The Italian Consul praised PUA’s contribution to the exhibition, expressing great admiration for the designs, which captivated the attention and admiration of the exhibition’s visitors.
