Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) recently welcomed Dr. Osama Ghoneim, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for Sports Medicine. He was received by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities for future cooperation aimed at advancing sports concepts and sports medicine, as well as promoting this culture among university students.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the risks associated with the unsupervised use of hormones and nutritional supplements, emphasizing the serious health consequences that can arise from such practices.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Ghoneim was awarded with a certificate of appreciation from PUA in recognition of his active participation in a seminar for students from various faculties. During the seminar, he delivered an insightful lecture on sports medicine and underscored the importance of adhering to safe health practices.
