Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, welcomed and honored Karim Ahmed Nasser Abdel Moneim Mahmoud, a student at the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences and President of PUA’s Student Union, by awarding him PUA’s Gold Medal. This recognition came in appreciation of Karim’s exceptional athletic achievements at the Alexandria Swimming Championship, where he secured four gold medals (first place in the 50-meter backstroke, first place in the 50-meter backstroke for the general men’s category, first place in the 100-meter backstroke, and first place in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay), one silver medal (second place in the 400-meter freestyle), and three bronze medals (third place in the 200-meter backstroke, third place in the 200-meter freestyle, and third place in the 100-meter backstroke for the general men’s category).

During the honoring ceremony, Dr. Etman praised Karim’s determination and his ability to represent both PUA and Egypt with distinction, stating, “This achievement reflects the spirit of challenge and excellence that PUA’s students embody. We wish Karim continued success and are committed to supporting the promising talents of our youth to elevate Egypt’s name on the global stage.”
