As a culmination of postgraduate programs offered by PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, the master’s degree thesis of Pharm/ Mai Montaser Zaid, Teaching Assistant, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, was defended. The thesis was defended in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohy El-din, PUA’s President, Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Youssef, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Magid Al-Ghazouly, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy. In addition to Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Bayaa, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Etman, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Furthermore, the supervisory committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Rasha Shaalan, Professor of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Tarek Said Fathallah, Professor of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and Dr. Karen Magdy Gerges, Lecturer of pharmaceutical analytical chemistry.
Meanwhile, the defense committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Rasha Shaalan, Prof. Dr. Tariq Saeed Fathallah, Prof. Dr. Heba Hassan Abdeen, Emeritus Professor of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and Prof. Dr. Reem Said Hajjaj, Professor of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry, and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy.
The thesis was entitled “Analytical Study of Selected Compounds of Pharmaceutical Interest Acting as Anti-inflammatory or Muscle Relaxants”. The committee examined the proposed the thesis and decided to confer upon the researcher the master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical analytical chemistry major.
