The Petrochemical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, hosted an Orientation Day for new students under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ihsan Nassef, Head of the Petrochemical Engineering Department, faculty members, teaching assistants, laboratory consultant, numerous senior students, and graduates, including postgraduate students.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech to the new students, emphasizing the department’s significance and its vital role in the petrochemical industry. Dr. Ashraf Morsi, the department’s industry expert, delivered a keynote address, shedding light on the various opportunities and challenges in the field. Graduates of the department also shared their experiences in the labor market, offering valuable motivational insights to the new students.
In addition, Faculty members provided a detailed overview of the academic guidance system and distributed the study plan to the students. They also explained the importance of field training and highlighted international opportunities available through PUA’s partnerships.
In the final part of the ceremony, students were introduced to the department’s student families and the various extracurricular activities designed to enhance their skills. Additionally, the event highlighted the opportunities for postgraduate studies within the department, encouraging students to explore advanced academic and research paths.
