As part of its ongoing efforts to stay abreast of digital advancements in the tourism sector, PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, through the Tourism Services Unit, organized a specialized training workshop titled “Online Booking.” The workshop brought together faculty members, students, and graduates eager to enhance their proficiency in modern digital tools.
Aimed at improving participants’ ability to navigate online booking platforms, the workshop provided practical training on applications such as Momondo, Trip.com, Wego, Hopper, Kayak, Rome2rio, Airbnb, Google Flights, and Google Trip Planner. Attendees learned to leverage these platforms for efficient, cost-effective travel planning while gaining insights into effective search strategies, fee avoidance, and data security during online transactions.
The event saw active participation, with attendees engaging in discussions about challenges in digital booking and sharing best practices. In light of its success, participants recommended future workshops focusing on advanced online reservation systems and customer management, underscoring the importance of digital competency in the evolving tourism industry.
