PUA’s Faculty of Engineering recently held a scientific lecture titled “Microstructure of Concrete,” supervised by the Student Activities Department. Delivered by Dr. Abdel Latif Abu Sen, the lecture explored the microscopic properties of concrete, highlighting key factors that impact its composition and performance. Dr. Abdel Latif shared advanced insights into methods for enhancing concrete durability and effectiveness through modern technologies, focusing on maximizing strength and sustainability in concrete structures.

The event saw active engagement from faculty members, teaching assistants, and students from the Construction Engineering and Management Department. Further, students displayed a strong interest in the subject matter, contributing to insightful discussions with Dr. Abdel Latif on practical applications aimed at improving concrete properties to tackle current engineering challenges. This lecture is part of a broader series of scientific activities organized by the department to broaden students’ knowledge and keep them updated on the latest advancements in civil engineering and construction.
