Interior Design as Environmental Therapy

In today’s fast-paced world, adopting solutions that foster health and well-being through environmental design has become essential. Among these solutions, therapeutic garden gardens have emerged as an innovative trend in interior design, utilizing natural elements as therapeutic tools to enhance mental and physical health.
In this context, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a distinguished seminar titled “Interior Design as Environmental Therapy.” The event was part of PUA’s second “Green Pharos” campaign, which aims to raise awareness of sustainable design and its role in enhancing quality of life.
The seminar highlighted the pivotal role of healing gardens in creating calming environments by integrating plants, water features, and natural lighting into both indoor and outdoor spaces. These elements contribute to reducing stress, improving air quality, and enhancing focus and productivity. Speakers also explored how such designs accelerate healing in hospitals and enhance work and educational environments.
With sustainability gaining increasing attention, the seminar underscored that eco-friendly interior design is now an integral part of modern urban planning, offering sustainable solutions that support mental and physical well-being. This approach is shaping a more balanced, healthier, and comfortable future.
