PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management held its annual Meeting of Industry Professionals for the academic year 2024-2025. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, with the participation of all faculty members and several industry partners.
The faculty administration began by expressing sincere gratitude to its industry partners for their vital role in offering students practical training opportunities and exposing them to real-world work environments. These experiences help prepare students to transition smoothly into their future careers.
The meeting also included a survey of expert opinions on the faculty’s activities for the academic year 2024-2025. Attendees commended the variety of activities aimed at enriching the students’ academic and educational experiences.
One of the main points of discussion was the introduction of new study programs in response to the evolving needs of the tourism and hospitality industry. Industry experts proposed innovative programs that align with labor market trends and enhance students’ future readiness. In addition, participants explored current challenges facing the tourism sector and strategies to better integrate these challenges into the educational framework.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of including digital education topics in the curriculum and graduation projects, in line with technological advancements in the industry.
