With the world undergoing a rapid transition toward a green economy, understanding the impact of sustainability and renewable energy on the labor market and future skill requirements has become increasingly essential. In this context, PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative, as part of its second “Green Pharos” campaign, organized a scientific seminar for senior students. The event featured Col. Dr. Emad Mahmoud Sobh, a distinguished industry expert, who discussed the profound shift toward sustainability and its implications for job opportunities.

The seminar saw active engagement from students, who posed numerous questions regarding the future of employment in green sectors and the necessary skills to adapt to the evolving labor market. Dr. Sobh underscored the significance of acquiring expertise and training in areas such as solar energy, wind energy, energy efficiency, and recycling, emphasizing that these fields will play a crucial role in shaping the future global economy.

Dr. Noha Badr, a lecturer at the Faculty, also attended the seminar, welcoming the guest speaker and highlighting the importance of such discussions. She stressed that these interactions offer students valuable opportunities to engage with industry professionals, enhancing their skills and equipping them for the demands of the future workforce.

This seminar is part of a broader series of initiatives designed to bridge academic learning with practical experience, ensuring students are well-prepared to navigate challenges and seize emerging opportunities in the realm of sustainable economics.
