To enhance community and environmental cooperation, the Health Sciences Technology Annual Conference—organized by PUA’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology—kicked off this morning in PUA’s Grand Conference Hall. PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) played a pivotal role in inviting sponsors to take part in the event. Invitations were extended to leading pharmaceutical companies such as Vita Biotech, Intra Pharm, and Abdin Pharmaceuticals, along with major hospitals including the Italian Military General Hospital and Mustafa Kamel Military Hospital.

This collaboration reflects PUA’s ongoing engagement with societal sectors, aiming to promote innovation and strengthen the role of companies and medical institutions in the advancement of modern healthcare technologies. CSED helped facilitate these community partnerships, marking an important step toward achieving sustainable development in the healthcare sector.

The conference featured a series of insightful scientific lectures by Dr. Yasser Mekki and Dr. Ahmed Rashed, who shed light on the latest technological applications in healthcare, including artificial intelligence and data analytics. These sessions enriched the conference with cutting-edge knowledge and innovations.

The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Hanan Goueili, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Makhlouf, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Badr University in Cairo; Major General Dr. Hisham Shaheen, Commander of the Alexandria General Military Hospital; Brigadier General Dr. Maged Azmy, Clinical Director of the same hospital; and Dr. Mohamed Khalil, representing the Commander of Mustafa Kamel Hospital and Director of its Training Unit. Faculty members and students also took part, underscoring the faculty’s role as a hub for both academic excellence and practical innovation.

During his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, PUA’s President, expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in organizing the event, praising the faculty’s dedicated efforts. He also extended special thanks to Prof. Dr. Mustafa Abdel Khalek, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Hamdy Badie, Vice Dean, for their key roles in making the conference a success.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of honorary shields to the university president and vice presidents in appreciation of their continued support for the advancement of education and scientific research. The event’s celebratory atmosphere reflected a spirit of gratitude and recognition from all attendees.
