Students of PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy have successfully completed their first compulsory internship, which began on October 7, 2024, and lasted for six weeks. The program included a variety of activities, such as interactive courses organized by the Egyptian Drug Authority through the Medsulto App platform, focusing on various aspects of drug manufacturing. Additionally, students underwent practical training in pharmacies and drug stores at Alexandria University Hospitals, gaining valuable field experience in drug dispensing and pharmaceutical preparations.

Trainees from the Pharm D and Pharm D Clinical programs participated in specialized courses in general and clinical pharmacy at Alexandria University Hospitals and Smouha University Hospital, providing them with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world medical environments. Supervising faculty members conducted field visits to monitor progress, attend presentations, and participate in discussions of practical cases studied by the trainees. The program also included scientific lectures, such as a session on institutional health quality, aimed at enhancing understanding of health administration and operational concepts.

Trainers praised the trainees for their professional ethics, enthusiasm, and outstanding academic performance, emphasizing the importance of such programs in preparing pharmacists for the healthcare sector and fostering teamwork and ethical practices. The college administration and the compulsory training unit encouraged students to continue developing their skills and striving for success in their careers, wishing them ongoing success and prosperity in the future.
