Biography

1982-2015: Worked at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, as a Professor and Head of the Endodontic Department. Taught undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervised clinical sessions, and developed endodontic curricula.
2008-2010: Served as a Dental Consultant and Medical Director at Andalusia Dental Centers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, leading a medical team and providing advanced dental care.
2012-2015: Held the position of Full Professor and Head of the Endodontic Division at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, where you developed the department and organized advanced training courses.
2013-Present: Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, Beirut Arab University, teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with overseeing clinical sessions.
2019-Present: Professor Emeritus at the Endodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, continuing to supervise clinical sessions and assess students in final examinations.

Fields of Interest

Endodontics: Specialized in root canal treatments and the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental pulp diseases.
Restorative Dentistry: Focused on the restoration of teeth, including fillings, crowns, bridges, and implants.

the age of 40 from Alexandria University, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning. Over the years, Dr. Inas Karawia has

made significant contributions to his field, publishing several papers in prestigious journals. His expertise spans across community

dentistry, and biostatistics, allowing him to make valuable contributions to both research and education.

With a strong passion for mentoring, Dr. Inas Karawia enjoys using her biostatistical skills to guide students in their research projects.

Biography

I graduated in dentistry from Alexandria University in 1991, and I hold a master’s degree in pediatric dentistry, then a doctorate in 1998 and 2009 from Alexandria University as well. I was a student of the faculty members in the department during that period.

I worked at the Ministry of Health and as a resident doctor in pediatric dentistry at Alexandria University and the Dental Research Center, then an assistant lecturer at Pharos University in 2008 and a teacher in 2010, then I was appointed as an assistant professor in 2020 in pediatric dentistry. I was very interested in scientific research, modern teaching methods, and experience in academic guidance, scissors, control work, monitoring, and developing and updating regulations.

Fields of Interest

Paying attention to supervising the research of postgraduate students and bachelor’s degree students in the field of nanotechnology on experimental animals.

Biography

Professor Mahitab Soliman was graduated from University of Alexandria , 1982, with general grade of very good and honor degree , was the third one in order of graduation for my batch . I was assigned as a demonstrator of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the same university. Finished my Master degree in the same specialty in 1987, then  Ph.D in 1990. I have special interest in dental lasers and have published several papers concerning the use of soft tissue lasers in minor surgical operations. I have worked for nine years as a professor of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Taif University in Saudi Arabia.

She holds an MSc. and Ph.D. in Public Health – Tropical Medicine Department (Parasitology and Medical Entomology) from High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University in 2008 and 2012 respectively. She has a second Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University (2021). She has a High Graduate Studies Diploma in Public Health-Tropical Health, Analytical Biochemistry, and finally Forensic Chemistry, Faculty of Science- Alexandria University. Biography

From 2018 until now, I have been serving as an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry in the Oral Biology Department at the Faculty of Dentistry, Pharos University in Alexandria. Previously, from 2013 to 2018, I worked as a Lecturer in the same department. Before joining Pharos University, I held the position of Assistant Lecturer at the Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University, from 2008 to 2012. My early academic career began as a Researcher at the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research, Alexandria University, from 2003 to 2007.

In parallel with my academic roles, I have gained significant industry experience. From 2005 to 2007, I was the Section Head in the Research and Development Department at Al-Amriya Pharmaceutical Industries Company. Prior to that, I worked as a Specialist in the Quality Control Department at the European Pharmaceutical Company from 2000 to 2005. My professional journey started as a Demonstrator in the Cell Biology Department at the Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University, where I worked from 1991 to 2005.

Biography

Dr. Khaled is an Egyptian orthodontist, professor, and founder of the Orthodontics Department at Pharos University in Alexandria. is an Egyptian citizen, born on April 19, 1975 He is currently the head of the Orthodontics Department. Dr. Khaled He holds various leadership positions in orthodontic organizations, he serves as the Africa and Middle East Representative on the executive committee of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) for 2020–2025. He is also a Board Member of the Egyptian Orthodontic Society (2011– present), Secretary General of the Arab Orthodontic Society (2012– present), Ambassador of the American Association of Orthodontists (2016–present), and a MOIP Ambassador.

Dr. Khaled has a strong academic background with a PhD in orthodontics and numerous publications to his credit, he is also co-author of Passive Self-Ligation from A-Z published by Quintessence. He has been an invited speaker at more than 30 orthodontic events worldwide.

Outside the university, Dr. Khaled owns the Aboulazm Orthodontic Clinic, founded by his late father, Prof. Dr. Samir Aboulazm, in 1975. He is also an Orthodontic Consultant at Mostafa Kamel Military Hospital.

Biography

Dr. Nancy R. Bedwani is a distinguished professional in the field of Preventive Dentistry and Dental Public Health. She holds a Bachelor Degree of Dental Medicine and Oral Surgery (BDS.), Alexandria University, then she followed an internship dental training program at the school of Dentistry, Panum Institute and Rigs Hospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark. Later, she made her Master in International Health (M.Sc.) in faculty of Odontology, Lyon- France and her Master training at UFSBD- WHO center, Paris- France. Then after, she received her Doctorate degree (PhD.) in Dental Public Health & Pediatric Dentistry Dept., faculty of Dentistry, Alex. Univ. joint degree with Faculty of Dentistry- Lyon France. mainly specialized in Preventive Dentistry.

She then became a consultant in Preventive & Community Dentistry, especially in the field of preventive dentistry for children, geriatric patients and special needs. She was elected among a group of PUA staff members for training at Dental Public Heath Dept. at Kuopio Univ.- Finland. Few years after she had the privilege of undergoing a fellowship training at the Special Needs and medically compromised patients Dept. at UCLA, in USA.

Currently, she serves as a Lecturer in Dental Public Health, Community & Pediatric Dentistry, Dept. PUA.  In addition to her academic and clinical achievements, she was the supervisor of the best community services projects awards for twelve consecutive years, at Pharos University. In this role she played a crucial role in enhancing the University’s outreach and impact on the community. Dr. Bedwani also served in educating the Entrepreneurship in Dentistry course for the past six years. Her expertise in this field have been recognized, leading to her selection as a mentor of the course of “Health & Law” at the International Health Dept. Senghor International University and a visiting Professor at the same dept.in addition to having the honor of being chosen as the President of the jury and a supervisor of many Master thesis at Senghor University.  Her dedication to continuous learning and professional development is evident through her active participation in several courses, conferences and workshops both in Egypt and Internationally.
