The of Electrical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering is preparing for the Department’s transition from institutional accreditation to programmatic accreditation. This transition concerns the Electrical Power and Control Engineering and Communications and Electronics Engineering Programs.
Accordingly, in the presence of all faculty members, and teaching assistants, the Department’s Head reviewed the objectives of program accreditation, stressing the Faculty’s and PUA’s keenness to obtain such accreditation.
After that, the Department’s Head highlighted the observations of the simulation committee and the supporting team. These observations were later studied to identify their causes, and show how to properly avoid them. In addition, the committee completed reviewing the program files as instructed by the Quality and Accreditation Commission. It also followed-up on the progress of field training in terms of completing data and reviewing cooperation protocols.
The committee also developed a new strategy to tackle topics related to solving student problems related to external training, field visits, and examination schedules. At the end of the event, the Department’s head wished the faculty members and teaching assistants to continue their hard work related to quality until successfully obtaining the accreditation due to its significant value.
