Bronze in the 5000-meter running competitions

As part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ efforts to support university students, the Alexandria Governorate Universities Championship was held, featuring eight public and private universities; namely Alexandria University (AU), Alexandria National University (ANU), Damanhour University (DU), Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology (EJUST), Rashid University (RU), Borg Al Arab Technological University, Alamein International University (AIU). The event took place under the slogan “100 Days of Sports” from February 4 to 13.

Alexandria University hosted the athletics championship, where PUA participated in the 5000-meter running competitions for both boys and girls. In a competitive field, Ahmed Mohamed El Sayed, a Physical Therapy student, delivered an impressive performance, securing third place and earning the bronze medal at the university level.

This achievement reflects Pharos University’s commitment to sports excellence and its dedication to nurturing student talents across various disciplines.
