PUA’s Faculty of Engineering continues its intensive preparations for the upcoming visit by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, as part of the programmatic accreditation process for several distinguished programs. These programs include the Computer Engineering Program, Petrochemical Engineering Program, and Mechanical Power Engineering Program.

In this context, the Training and Awareness Committee of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Unit organized awareness lectures for students enrolled in accreditation-seeking programs, as well as students from the Basic Sciences Department. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mona Othman, Advisor to the Dean for Quality and Development, in the presence of the First and Second Deputy of the Quality Assurance Unit, coordinators of the simulation visit from the PUA’s Quality Assurance Center, and numerous faculty members and teaching assistants from the relevant programs.

During the session, Dr. Othman provided a comprehensive overview of the accreditation requirements and quality standards necessary to achieve excellence in academic performance. She emphasized the shared responsibility of students and faculty members in upholding these standards and supporting accreditation efforts. The lecture saw enthusiastic engagement from attendees, who discussed their roles in successfully implementing quality assurance measures.

To ensure accessibility and transparency, the sessions were recorded and uploaded to the Blackboard platform, with special links provided to all participants. This step underscores the Faculty’s commitment to effective communication and its continuous pursuit of academic excellence in preparation for programmatic accreditation.
