Pharos Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications organized the “Metaverse in Education” workshop on April 15th and 22nd, 2025, with the participation of a group of academics and specialists from all faculties, under the supervision of Dr. Sahar Ghanem – Supervisor of the Artificial Intelligence Department and Executive Director of the Center, and delivered by Eng. Israa Habeeba – Teaching Assistant in the Artificial Intelligence Department with the help of a team of outstanding students from the Artificial Intelligence Department, the workshop highlighted the role of the metaverse in digital education, allowing students to interact with content through advanced virtual environments. It also included practical applications for efficiently integrating technology into educational curricula at the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of leveraging the metaverse to advance the educational process, anticipating it will become an essential part of the future of education.

The “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” workshop

As part of the Pharos Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications’ efforts to enhance knowledge and practical applications in the medical field, the “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” workshop, held on April 15 and 16, 2025, concluded for faculty staff and Assistant Staff from all university faculties.

Professor Dr. Saad Darwish, Dean of the faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, participated by presenting insights into the impact of artificial intelligence on developing healthcare services, highlighting its applications in medical image analysis and digital diagnosis.

Dr. Sahar Ibrahim Ghanem, Executive Director of the Center and Supervisor of the Artificial Intelligence Department, and Eng. Aya Hegazy, Teaching Assistant in the Artificial Intelligence Department, presented a specialized workshop in which they presented modern technical solutions that contribute to improving diagnosis and treatment using machine learning.
