Dr. Eslam Al-Saba currently works as a lecturer in the Department of Medical Equipment Technology at Pharos University. He obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He also received a PhD in Electrical Engineering, from Alexandria University.
He worked in the field of education and scientific research in several places, the most important of which is Alexandria University, Al Baha International College of Science, Alexandria Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Egyptian Academy For Engineering And Advanced Technology, Affiliated To The Ministry Of Military Production. Short Biography

Ehab Barakat is a medical-equipment consultant and entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering and electronics. He escalated from maintenance engineer to consultant for United Nations (WHO), where he has a very special interest in twinning between academia and industry. Ehab one of only 15 certified mentors in Egypt using Mowgli mentoring approach

Currently, he established a non-profit organization “Nectar foundation” as a host and official umbrella for his activities on promoting scientific research methodology within school students. On the other hand, Ehab decided to join the academia as a lecturer to transfer his accumulative experiences (i.e. technical, managerial, research…etc) to undergrad students.

I work as a pathologist. I am an Assistant Professor in the Allied medical science faculty in Pharos University in Alexandria. I teach the pregraduate students in Medical laboratory Department. I have a good experience in teaching the principles and techniques of different laboratory tests and methods. I take a leading role in arranging small group interactive seminars with the clinical fellows in the department and with the staff members.

In 1988, I achieved the M.B.B.cH from the faculty of medicine Alexandria university. In
1997, I obtained my Master of Pathology, Faculty of medicine Alexandria university. In
2004, I acheived M.D. of Pathology, Faculty of medicine Zagazig university. In 2011, I achieved the Professional Training Diploma in Hospitals and HealthCare Service Management, Sadat Academy for Management Sciences

Mohamed I. Badawi is an Associate Professor in Communication and Electronic Engineering (Biomedical Engineering). He received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Communication and Electronic Engineering from Alexandria University. His research interests include cancer diagnosis and imaging, electronic nose technology, artificial neural network analysis, cochlear implant analysis, nanoparticles contrast agent, metamaterial biomedical applications, hyperthermia application, and image segmentation. Dr. Mohamed S. Abdel-Latif is recognized by his peers as a Scientific and Medical Researcher that integrates new technologies into everyday research practice. He was a researcher at Department of Experimental Medicine & Biochemical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rome (Tor Vergata), Italy. Dr. Mohamed S. Abdel-Latif holds a BSc. in Biochemistry from Faculty of Science, MSc. in Applied Medical Chemistry from Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University, and a PhD in Microbiology from Institute for Tropical Medicine, University of Tübingen, Germany. Afterward, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at CNRS, Epigenetic and Parasites ATIP Group, Laboratory of Adaptation and Pathogenesis of Microorganisms, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Jean Roget Institute, Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble – France.

Dr. Nancy Abd El-Kader Hagras received the B.Sc in Pharmacy and Biotechnology, from German University in Cairo, Egypt with a cumulative grade A+ (Excellent with highest degree of honor) in 2010. She received the M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Applied and Molecular Parasitology, Medical Research Institute, Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2014 and 2018 respectively. Short Biography

My name is Bassma H. Elwakil, Associate Prof of Microbiology at Pharos University in Alexandria, H-index 8 (Scopus). I have two nationally registered patents, participated in 4 funded projects nationally and internationally, have more than 35 published manuscripts and supervising over 20 masters and PhD students. I was awarded as number 1 in the microbiology category among Pharos University scholars and number 103 among all Egyptian scholars according to the AD international scientific ranking.

Dr. Alaa Samir Ibrahim Hegazy received the B.Sc. in Special Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University with cumulative grades B + (very good with honors) in 2010. Then received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry, Faculty of Science Alexandria University, Egypt, in 2015 and 2022. I have been appointed at Medical laboratory technology department, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, Pharos University – Alexandria since October 2012 till now. I participated in two funded projects the first one from the STDF grant and the second was funded from Saudi Arabia. Moreover, I was designated as reviewer in the international journal of Cancer and biomedical Research. Also, I was nominated to be scientific judge at Intel Science and Engineering Fair since 2015 till now. Finally, I was contributed as a tutor, organizer in several workshops and conferences as well and awarded for the best research and speaker in conferences concerned with Clinical Biochemistry and natural products derived drug.

The title of the Dissertation is: ‘Proposed of biosensors for mandibular implant occlusal stress measurement and modeling’.
  • She worked from 2014 to 2021 as assistant professor at King Abdul Aziz University, Faculty of Engineering. 2013 to 2014 at Pharos University as Assistant Professor Full Time ,2011 to 2013 Pharos University as teaching Assistant Full Time. from 2010 to 2011, in Pharos University as teaching assistant. Now she is working as lecturer at Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, Pharos University.

Short Biography

Born in Alexandria on 11-26 -1975, a graduate of Sacred Heart School in 1993, joined the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, then graduated in 1999, with distinction with honors, ranked sixth in the batch, spent 3 years residency in Clinical Pathology Department, then was appointed Demonstrator in the same department, then Assistant Lecturer, then Lecturer, then Assistant Professor, and finally Professor in 2021.

Attended many conferences and workshops inside Egypt and abroad, in addition to 12 training courses organized by “The Development of Staff Members’ Capabilities in Alexandria University”. I worked in many private laboratories affiliated with hospitals such as Al-Anba Takla, Mabaret Al-Asafra, Al-Salamah Al-Dawli, Al-Saraya, and Ministry of Justice Medical Laboratory.

Currently an associate professor of public health (microbiology) at the Medical Laboratory Technology Department at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology (PUA) -Major: Microbiology &Immunology. Graduate of faculty of medicine .M.B.B.ch Medicine ,1993 with an excellent degree. Master of public health (Microbiology)/High Institute of Public Health/ Alexandria in 1999. Thesis title :A Study of Urinary Tract Infection Following Diagnostic Endoscopic Urologic Procedures in Alexandria. Ph.D. Doctor degree of public health (Microbiology) at the High Institute of Public Health/ Alexandria,2004. Thesis title: Bacterial and parasitic profile of acute pediatric diarrhea with special reference to the role of three faecal screening tests in prediction of the presence of invasive enteric pathogens in stool.

Joined PUA in 2013 as a lecturer of public health (microbiology) and was involved in several courses at faculty of allied medical sciences, faculty of pharmacy and drug manufacturing and faculty of physiotherapy. A participant in the quality control committee, quality organizer for the department of medical lab technology and member of the committee of internal auditing of lab technicians at PUA.
