PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management delivered a seminar titled “Language, Heritage, and Handicrafts and Their Role in Tourism,” under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The seminar highlighted the critical role of local language and cultural heritage in bolstering the tourism sector, emphasizing the need to preserve these elements as key pillars for attracting tourists and enhancing their cultural experience. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Raouf delivered a presentation on the significance of handicrafts in marketing tourist destinations, noting their representation of national cultural identity and their substantial contribution to tourism appeal. The event concluded with an interactive dialogue, where students posed questions and shared ideas on effectively utilizing these cultural elements to promote sustainable tourism and increase destination attractiveness.
