As part of the Architectural Design course (Level 8), PUA’s Architectural Engineering Department organized a scientific visit for senior students (10th semester) to the historic city of Rashid. The visit aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the diverse architectural styles and construction techniques used across different historical periods. Students explored how traditional architecture harmonizes with the local environment and learned how to incorporate traditional elements into contemporary design projects.
During the tour, students visited several prominent landmarks, including Al-Mahalli Mosque, Abu Shahin Mill, and Al-Amsili House, where they analyzed the unique architectural features of each structure.
