A Field Field Trip to EMPC

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Naela Emaraa, Dean of PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication, the Radio and Television Department organized a field trip for students to the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC). This initiative is part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the media industry, equipping students with the skills and insights needed to excel in their future careers.
During the trip, students explored the latest technologies and equipment used in the media industry, gaining firsthand experience of the production processes for television programs, radio broadcasts, and films. They also had the opportunity to interact with industry experts and specialists, who shared valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities within the media sector. This interaction provided students with a deeper understanding of the labor market’s requirements and the skills needed to succeed in this dynamic field.
This initiative aligns with the faculty’s vision of preparing well-rounded, competitive graduates by offering practical experiences that complement their academic studies and enhance their creative abilities. By exposing students to real-world media production environments, the trip aimed to inspire innovation and foster a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the media industry.
Through such field trips, PUA continues to integrate academic education with practical application, nurturing a generation of skilled media professionals capable of driving creativity and innovation in the ever-evolving media landscape.
