PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication initiated the discussion and arbitration of the graduation projects of the fourth year journalism and digital publishing students of the “Techno-Hayat” project.

 

The students discussed their graduation project “Techno-Hayat”, which is a magazine and website specialized in various fields of technology.

 

The professors also gave a number of advices to the students about the media job market, how to excel, and the elements of a successful journalist amidst the digital transformation.

 

Further, this magazine aims to develop societal awareness of technological development, shed light on the positive side of technology, and provide solutions to its negative aspects. In addition, it shows how technology can be utilized in increasing productivity through the “Services – Technologies – Health, Culture and Art” tabs.

 

 

It is also worth noting that the Techno-Hayat project has been generated by the Faculty’s laboratories as part of the “Make Your Own Project” initiative, which was launched last year. This initiative seeks to enable the students to handle all the details of media and journalistic work, starting from writing to direction. This serves as a practical training for the students under the supervision of the Faculty’s professors.

 

In addition, the project was judged by a group of journalistic writers and professors, namely: Dr. Mahmoud Muslim, editor-in-chief of Al-Watan newspaper and member of the Senate, Prof. Akram Al-Qassas, editor-in-chief of Al-Youm Al-Sabaa newspaper, and Mr. Ali Mahmoud, managing editor of Al-Ahram e-portal.
