Realizing the role of Pharos University in community service and providing activities to students of different age groups. The faculty of Arts and Design welcomed a visit from Elekbal El Koumea Schools, on Monday 1/11/2021 at 10:00 am in the presence of Prof. Hana Yassen, Dean of the faculty of Arts and Design, Ass. Prof. Nahla Ahmed ElDeeb, Head of the Fashion Design Department & vice Dean for student Affairs and Education. Various workshops were organized by the faculty and presented by:
– Ass. Prof. Nermine Gomaa – Head of the Painting Dept., the workshop made the name of Elekbal school by using the mosaic and latent glass fabric on the area of 60 cm x 40 cm in an artistic form, the school students participated in the workshop by writing the school name and decorating the background, the students were delighted with the implementation method.
– Ass. Prof. Shimaa Khodeer – Lecture in Graphic Dept., the workshop dealt with the execution of art work with the effect of the drip, and the students used a drip tool and the fast drying acrylic colors to fill their design area to produce an artistic artwork with dot textures effect using mixed colors.
– Dr. Salma Youssef – Lecture in Décor Dept., the workshop identified the residential interior spaces and helped students distribute 2d scaled furniture in a floor plan of a house, through this workshop basic criteria of distributing furniture in interior spaces and how to choose the right location for each piece of furniture were explained. The workshop let the students get an insight on the nature of the study of interior design and the different fields of work available for the graduates of the department. This was received with a good impression from the student.
The faculty’s workshops presented for the visit of the school was concluded by showing them examples of the artwork of the students of the faculty of Arts and Design in its various departments, to learn about the nature of the faculty and its departments, then the students took a group of photos with the dean and the vice Dean of the faculty and the instructors of the art workshops.
