Prof. Mona Barakat started this meeting by thanking all academic staff for all the endeavours they have exerted during this period to create effective e-learning. The meeting also discussed the following points:
- Stressing the importance of establishing direct communication between academic staff members and students via electronic means in order to provide the students with academic and emotional support and maintain lines of communication in this critical time.
- Emphasizing the necessity of abiding by the class schedule being set from the beginning of the second semester and creating effective communication on the educational platform provided by the university.
- Discussing the students’ graduation projects, not assigning any tasks to the students that require leaving their homes and keeping contact with them only via internet due to the latest global coronavirus outbreak. This procedure is taken for the sake of the students’ safety and to slightly alleviate their burdens.
