  1. In December 2023, PUA’s students participated in a blood donation campaign organized by the university in cooperation with the Blood Bank, under the umbrella of community service activities. PUA prepared the forms and ran the necessary tests to donors before donation. The students, however; participated in organizing, encouraging their colleagues to donate, and participate in such charitable work.

  1. In December 2023, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry visited Pioneers Private School. During its visit, the visiting delegation, which included faculty members and students, provided an educational seminar to the school students about dental health and how to maintain teeth.

  1. In November 2023, and in compliance with the 15th goal “Life on Earth”, PUA organized an initiative titled Green Pharos (Paper-free Day) and a campaign (Keep Your University Clean). During such activities, leaflets and posters were distributed to educate students about the significance of maintaining a clean environment in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) related to preserving the environment.

 

 

Scientific Visits

In compliance with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education

  1. In October 2023, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy conducted a field visit to Medizen Pharmaceutical Industries Co. The visit included an inspection of the Company’s various production lines, in addition to the analysis and quality assurance laboratories. The students benefited greatly from the visit, which helped them link their theoretical studies with on-the-job experiences, and achieve the highest levels of quality in the educational process.

The visit included an inspection of the Company’s various production lines, in addition to the analysis and quality assurance laboratories. The students benefited greatly from the visit, which helped them link their theoretical studies with on-the-job experiences.

  1. In December 2023, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy conducted a field visit to the Alexandria University Hospitals. The student got to spend one full day at the Hospital departments, which allowed them to link their theoretical studies with on-the-job experiences, and achieve the highest levels of quality in the educational process.
