A Workshop on Sustainable Furniture Production

PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a specialized workshop titled “Modern Techniques and Selection of Industrial Alternatives for Furniture Manufacturing”, with participation from select students. The workshop aimed to introduce sustainable fabrication techniques in furniture design, showcase eco-friendly alternative materials, promote principles of responsible industrial design.
The practical sessions covered criteria for selecting sustainable raw materials, balancing aesthetic and functional considerations, and case studies of innovative designs.
Organizers emphasized this initiative aligns with the faculty’s strategy to adopt global trends in sustainable design and prepare graduates for contemporary industry challenges.
