PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions marked the third day of its Field Training Preparatory Week for the 2024-2025 academic year with an insightful lecture featuring Counselor Maged El-Sharkawy, President of the Economic Criminal Court, and Major General Alaa Zaki, a veteran police officer. The session focused on bridging theoretical knowledge with practical legal skills, equipping students with competencies essential for professional success in both domestic and international legal arenas.

During the intensive workshop, the distinguished speakers demonstrated courtroom procedures in economic crimes and contemporary investigative techniques, while addressing common challenges new law graduates face when entering the workforce.

The Dean of the Faculty commended the strategic collaboration with judicial and security institutions: “Our partnership with practitioners ensures students gain cutting-edge professional competencies that align with market demands.” The preparatory week forms part of the Faculty’s comprehensive field training program – a curricular cornerstone that places students in courts, prosecution offices, and police stations to acquire hands-on experience before graduation.

Student participants expressed particular appreciation for the great opportunity to engage directly with senior legal and security professionals, who gave them a boost before initiating their field training programs.
