Book Club
As part of its commitment to promoting a culture of literature and reading among students, PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a seminar titled “Book Club.” The seminar addressed key topics on how to write and publish a book, while emphasizing the importance of reading for students.
During the seminar, the faculty reviewed the basic steps in book production—from idea selection and content development to the printing and publishing stages. It also discussed the challenges that new writers may face in the publishing process and explored ways to overcome them using digital marketing tools and engaging with the readership.
Additionally, the seminar highlighted the importance of reading in a student’s academic and personal life, stressing its role in promoting critical thinking and developing knowledge. Participants offered advice on how to increase students’ interest in reading and explore a diverse range of books that enhance their intellectual abilities.
The event received significant interaction from students, who expressed their desire to continue attending such initiatives, as these events broaden their cultural horizons and strengthen their awareness in the fields of writing and publishing.
