The Fashion Design Department team at PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design achieved the first place and a cash prize in the Cairo Denim Day Competition 2025. The competition was held as part of the EGY STITCH & TEX Exhibition at the Nasr City Exhibition Halls, with participation from various universities across Egypt.

The team was evaluated and honored by a distinguished panel of fashion design experts, including Prof. Sherif Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at Helwan University, Dr. Iman El-Mihy, Dr. Aida Zayed, Fashion designer Mohamed Sami, Dr. Mahmoud Abbas.

It is worth mentioning that seven students from the Fashion Design Department, representing different academic levels, participated in the competition under the supervision of Dr. Marwa Issa, Lecturer, Fashion Design Department. The students presented innovative designs that impressed both the jury and the audience, showcasing their creativity and excellence in the field of fashion design.
