A Medical Convoy for Orphaned Children

In a heartfelt initiative to serve the community and promote health awareness, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry dispatched a medical convoy to Ali Bin Abi Talib Orphanage. The visit aimed to provide psychological and social support to the children while raising awareness about the importance of oral and dental health care.

The convoy offered free medical examinations for the children and distributed essential dental care supplies, which were met with enthusiasm and gratitude from both the children and the orphanage staff. Faculty members expressed their pride in participating in the initiative, emphasizing that the role of a healthcare professional extends beyond clinical care to include community service and fostering social responsibility among students.

The students who participated in the convoy described the experience as deeply rewarding, highlighting their eagerness to engage in similar humanitarian efforts in the future.

At the conclusion of the visit, the orphanage administration extended its heartfelt thanks to the delegation from PUA, led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, for their dedication and impactful work. The administration also expressed hope for continued collaboration with the university to further support orphaned children and enhance their health awareness.

This initiative underscores PUA’s unwavering commitment to its societal role and its mission to instill the values of compassion, giving, and social responsibility in both its students and faculty members. Through such efforts, the university continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable communities.
