PUA’s Research & International Publishing Administration (RIPA) is a branch from Postgraduate studies and research sector that seeks to build the infrastructure for scientific research and the process of international publication at the university by creating an internal and external network of distinguished researchers and research groups, either partially or fully affiliated with the university. These groups aim to achieve excellence in international publications and citations in global databases.
Vision and Mission :
To enhance the international reputation of PUA and its affiliates in the field of research and scientific publication in top-ranked journals, with the goal of including the university in international rankings and promoting the output of graduate studies and innovation in line with sustainable development goals.
Objectives :
- Qualifying researchers for publication in internationally indexed journals by training them in the skills and developments of the international publishing process at all stages.
- Encouraging international publication from the graduate programs within Pharos University by assisting and guiding master’s and doctoral students on how to publish their research internationally at all stages of preparing their thesis.
- Forming multidisciplinary research teams (Multidisciplinary Clusters) of researchers from within and outside the university to produce high-quality research in international publications.
- Qualifying faculty members to become principal researchers, paving the way for the formation of research schools and groups.
- Training researchers on the principles of international publishing to enable them to submit and get their research accepted for projects, as well as to address challenges related to research rejection.
- Strengthening the internal capacity of Pharos University by teaching assistants in publishing their promotional research.
- Enhancing PUA’s community service by promoting sustainable research collaboration with other universities.
- Increasing the number of international publications and citations under PUA’s name annually.
- Raising PUA’s international ranking in global university rankings
