On a memorable evening, PUA’s Faculty of Engineering held a special celebration to mark the accreditation of its programs by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The recognized programs include Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Electric Power and Control Engineering, and Electrical Communications.
The ceremony was attended by an esteemed gathering of academic leaders, faculty members, graduates, representatives of community stakeholders, and administrative staff. The attendees were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, Dean of the Faculty.
The event began with speeches by university leaders. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohi El-Din commended the significant efforts that led to this achievement, emphasizing that it reflects the university’s commitment to adhering to international quality standards and enhancing the educational process. Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki expressed her pride in the faculty’s accomplishments, highlighting how accreditation bolsters the competitiveness of graduates both locally and internationally. Similarly, Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Ramadan acknowledged the importance of teamwork in achieving this milestone and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards to further develop its programs.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy conveyed his deep satisfaction with the faculty’s achievements, attributing the success to the collective efforts of faculty members, teaching assistants, administrators, and students. He extended heartfelt gratitude to PUA’s President, Vice Presidents, Secretary-General, and former deans of the Faculty of Engineering for their unwavering support throughout the accreditation journey. He also noted that this success underscores the spirit of teamwork and dedication.
Representing the accredited programs, Prof. Dr. Ramadan Abdel-Maksoud, Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, delivered a speech expressing pride in this accomplishment. He emphasized that accreditation marks the beginning of a new phase of continuous development and modernization, ensuring alignment with the labor market requirements and international quality standards.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of key figures who played vital roles in securing accreditation, including PUA’s President, Vice Presidents, and Secretary-General.
It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Engineering is now preparing for an upcoming NAQAAE’s visit to evaluate its Computer Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, and Mechanical Power Engineering programs, reflecting its relentless efforts to enhance its academic standing and commitment to excellence.
