The Decor Department at PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design paid a field visit to Pinocchio Factory in the new industrial city of Damietta as part of the requirements for the Technical Working Details Course. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills while aligning with labor market demands by providing students with an in-depth understanding of the furniture manufacturing stages and the latest advancements in production processes.

The students also toured Abdul Rahman Street in Damietta, renowned for its intricate craftsmanship and the creativity of local artisans in furniture workshops. As part of the Damietta Furniture Industry Festival, they participated in educational and scientific seminars and discussions, enriching their academic and practical understanding of the field.

This visit reflects the department’s commitment to offering its students a holistic learning experience by connecting theoretical studies with real-world industry exposure.
