As part of its commitment to linking academic studies with the labor market and supporting its graduates, PUA’s Faculty of Engineering organized a job fair at the lighthouse theater. This initiative aligns with PUA’s strategic plan to strengthen graduate support and enhance communication with alumni.

The forum was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, PUA’s President, and attended by senior university officials, including Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, several deans of faculties, and representatives from both public and private sector institutions. The event aimed to facilitate employment opportunities and offer professional and skill-building support for graduates.

The forum commenced with the distribution of training certificates from the Information Technology Institute to students from the Faculties of Engineering, Computers, Information, and Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Dr. Saad Darwish, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, attended the certificate distribution ceremony.

The forum marked a significant milestone with the signing of two cooperation protocols; the first was between the Faculty and Alexandria Sanitary Drainage Company (ASDCo) represented by Staff Gen. Mahmoud Nafeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Thw second, however, was between the Faculty and EDGSC Investment Company, represented by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abdullah, Chairman and Managing Director.

In his opening remarks, PUA’s president highlighted the pivotal role of the Faculty of Engineering in Egypt’s modern development, emphasizing that the job fair fosters innovation and creativity while bridging students and graduates with opportunities in various engineering and technological fields. Further, Dr. El-Meligy reinforced this message, stressing the faculty’s dedication to providing students with training opportunities, preparing them for the labor market, and supporting job-seeking graduates.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Faculty of Engineering inaugurated an exhibition showcasing specialized companies and participating industrial institutions, further enhancing the students’ exposure to industry leaders.

The forum also featured a diverse array of programs, including a job fair, connecting students and graduates with potential employers, development workshops and training sessions on entrepreneurship, marketing, and professional success. It also provided lectures delivered by experts and officials from major local and international companies, offering valuable insights and practical knowledge.
