The Pharmacology and Therapeutics Department at PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy paid a field visit to the Poison Control Center at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, as part of the Poisons and Forensic Chemistry course. Thirty fifth-year students from the Pharm D Clinical program participated in the visit, where they learned the correct procedures for handling acute poisoning cases, including recognizing symptoms, diagnosing causes, and administering the appropriate treatment for each case.

The visit also included a tour of the center, where students interacted with patients and engaged in a productive discussion with the clinical pharmacist in charge. Such visits are integral to enhancing students’ practical understanding of the course content, providing valuable hands-on experiences that contribute to their academic and professional development.
