As part of the ongoing academic and research cooperation between PUA and the Free University of Berlin, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy organized a distinguished scientific seminar in the faculty’s seminar hall. The event was held in conjunction with the visit of the Free University of Berlin delegation, which included Prof. Dr. Burkhard Kleuser, Head of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department, and Dr. Kloft, Professor of Clinical Pharmacy.
The seminar was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mennatallah Gowayed, Director of PUA’s International Relations Department, alongside faculty members and teaching assistants. It was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samar El-Ganaini, Acting Head of the Pharmacy Practice Department, who welcomed the visiting delegation and the attendees.
In addition, Dr. Amani Gomaa, Lecturer in the Pharmacy Practice Department, gave an introductory speech outlining the department’s objectives, academic programs, and the innovative teaching methods employed by the faculty. She also highlighted the facilities offered to students, introduced faculty and teaching assistants, and presented the vision and mission of the department.
The seminar also featured presentations by assistant faculty members on their scientific research for master’s theses in the field of clinical pharmacy. The research topics were discussed by Dr. Kloft, who praised the quality of the work and the relevance of the topics. Further, it was marked by fruitful scientific discussions, which underscored the importance of continuing collaboration between the two institutions to promote scientific research and innovation in the field of pharmacy.
The event reinforced the commitment of both universities to advancing academic and research excellence, with a focus on fostering further cooperation and innovation in pharmaceutical education and practice.
