The Council of PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry Council recently held a meeting chaired by Prof. Dr. Amr Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty, along with the Faculty’s Vice Deans, Department Heads, and the Director of the Quality Unit. The council focused on key topics to enhance the Faculty’s educational offerings and improve workflow. They discussed the introduction of new specializations and postgraduate programs in orthodontics and dental surgery, a response to the growing interest from students seeking advanced studies in these areas.

Additionally, the council agreed to host an upcoming scientific day dedicated to advancements in dental implants and digital dentistry. This event, organized in collaboration with the Dental Association and the Faculty’s Continuing Education Center, will feature contributions from leading professors and experts.

During the meeting, the council also reviewed and approved the updated vision and mission of the Faculty, shaped by feedback from surveys and questionnaires gathered from key stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Amr Abdullah closed the meeting by expressing gratitude for the team’s efforts in the 2023/2024 academic year and encouraged continued commitment with the newly approved study plan and semester courses.
