The Construction Engineering and Management Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering organized an orientation session for its new students, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The session aimed to familiarize students with the department’s academic system, study mechanism, academic advising, and credit hours, while also outlining the field training system and how it is followed through academic advisors.

Prof. Dr. Hamdy Afifi, Head of the Department, welcomed the new students, providing them with an overview of the department’s study system and the various activities available. He also highlighted the skills essential for the labor market in the Construction Engineering and Management field. Following this, Dr. Essam Fouad emphasized the importance of academic advising and field training, explaining its significance and implementation mechanism. Dr. Irene Mahfouz further explained the process of calculating the cumulative GPA and its importance in academic progression.

The lecture concluded with encouragement for students to actively participate in the department and faculty’s cultural, sports, social, and educational activities, all of which aim to enhance their university experience and help develop their skills.
