Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) is committed to bridging the knowledge gap and aligning with advanced global educational systems, particularly in engineering education. In line with this commitment, PUA’s Faculty of Engineering has initiated the implementation of new Bachelor’s Regulations under the Credit Hour System (2023), which are designed to be consistent with the prevalent study systems of major international universities. This new policy is expected to significantly enhance the employability of graduates in both regional and international labor markets.

The Faculty is also focused on encouraging outstanding students, whether those currently registered under this regulation starting from the academic year 2023/2024, or those anticipated to enroll in the upcoming academic year 2024/2025. In accordance with the newly approved regulations (2023), the Faculty is pleased to announce that outstanding students who fulfill the graduation requirements (160 credit hours) and maintain a CGPA of no less than 3.0 (equivalent to at least 80%) may graduate after completing a minimum of eight semesters (four years). Additionally, students who meet the graduation requirements with a cumulative CGPA of 2.0 to less than 3.0 (equivalent to 70% to less than 80%) are eligible to graduate after completing nine semesters (four and a half years).
