Under the patronage of the PUA’s Board of Trustees, PUA’s Faculty of hosted the 4th PUA International Conference, themed “Perspectives in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Digitization and Sustainability (ICPPS-2024),” at the grand conference hall. The event was graced by the presence of PUA’s President, Vice Presidents, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies, alongside numerous faculty members, teaching assistants, researchers, and pharmacists from various public and private universities, as well as research centers.
The conference, spanning its opening session and two additional sessions, delved into diverse topics including the utilization of artificial intelligence and its implications on scientific research, its application in drug design and related fields, and its influence on marketing strategies. Furthermore, discussions centered on the latest advancements in the internship year for pharmacy students across faculties.
Among the attendees were pharmacy students from PUA and other universities, with the conference also showcasing 34 online research posters on PUA’s website, including four contributed by students. Notably, the conference culminated in the selection of the best student research poster, jointly presented by a PUA student and a counterpart from the Faculty of Engineering at the Egyptian-Japanese University (E-Just). Their poster, titled “Smart Handy Plate: Can It Help in Microbiology Practical Sessions?” garnered recognition.
The conference also featured an exhibition by several companies sponsoring the event, along with two workshops held concurrently with the main proceedings.
