Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) took part in the third Consolidated educational awareness symposium for Egyptian university youth, hosted by Kafrelsheikh University (KFS) in its Grand Conference Hall. The event was organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and featured 12 Egyptian universities. Aimed at instilling loyalty and belonging among young people, the symposium also sought to raise awareness about threats to Egypt’s national security.

The symposium was held under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was attended by Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moaty, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University; and Major General Osama Abdel Hamid Dawoud, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces. Presidents and representatives from a number of universities—including AU, MANS, Matrouh, DAU, TU, SAMS, PUA, AIU, E-Just, and SUE—were also in attendance.

The event began with the playing of the “Martyr’s Salute,” followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran. Dr. Nashwa El-Hofy delivered a lecture titled “The Geopolitical Situation in the Region and Its Impact on Egyptian National Security,” which was met with strong engagement from the audience. The symposium also included a variety of artistic segments, such as a performance by the KFS’ Choir, religious chants, and artistic contributions by students from the participating universities, creating a patriotic atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and national pride.
