PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions marked the second day of its Preparatory Week for Field Training for the 2024-2025 academic year with an impactful lecture by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Mohamed Arabi, Director General of Nedaa at the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones. The event was attended by Dr. Mohamed Badawi, Director of the Field Training Unit, and Dr. Marwa Saad, Deputy Director of the Unit, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The program aims to equip students with the academic and professional readiness required to integrate into the job market, emphasizing the development of practical skills in legal and international transactional fields. Mr. Arabi’s lecture focused on the role of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in regulating Egypt’s investment landscape, detailing legal and procedural mechanisms to attract investments and safeguard investor rights. He also addressed contemporary challenges in the investment sector and the legislative frameworks designed to address them.

Dr. Badawi highlighted the unit’s commitment to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical realities, stating, “This lecture is a cornerstone of our strategy to enhance students’ skills in negotiation, contract drafting, and legal case analysis through workshops and applied sessions.” Dr. Saad added, “The program empowers students to navigate both local and international legislative environments, ensuring they graduate as competitive professionals ready for market demands.”

The Preparatory Week aligns with PUA’s broader strategy to advance applied education through partnerships with state and private institutions, ensuring alignment between academic outcomes and labor market needs. Students expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting their eagerness to gain hands-on experience that complements their theoretical studies ahead of their upcoming field training.
