Introducing Educational Online Platforms

In collaboration with the Student Activities Committee of the Basic Sciences Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, the Academic Advisory Committee organized an orientation session for new students on “Blackboard” platform, “Powercampus” program, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. The lecture took place at the Faculty’s premises as part of the department’s efforts to support freshman students enrolled in 2024/2025 academic year. The event was attended by the department’s freshman students, as well as the head of the department, faculty members, and teaching assistants.

The lecture provided a detailed explanation of the “Blackboard” platform, highlighting how to use it to track study materials, submit assignments, and attend exams. It also covered the “Powercampus” program, emphasizing its importance in monitoring academic activities, such as student attendance and grades, and guiding students on how to register for courses with the assistance of an academic advisor.

Additionally, the lecture explained how to register and use the Egyptian Knowledge Bank to access a wide range of educational resources. The session concluded with a Q&A, addressing students’ inquiries and helping them understand the effective use of these platforms.
